The first game of the quarter final begins at 7:30 PM tonight in Pittsburgh. Many are tense of expectations and it is now the fun part starts. You can see it directly on espn360.com or gamecenter.nhl.com NHL live stream.

The Ottawa Senators have had their ups and downs this season, but they finished strong. The biggest reason to their success has been their strong play in own end, where big and physical players have been holding down the amount of goals. The Swede Erik Karlsson is very little, but in addition to him are all the other defensemen really big and the trade that took Andy Sutton to Senators has made them even bigger. The average size in the defense is 6 foot 3 and 220 pounds, which will scare a lot of opponents. Now is Filip Kuba out for about a month but the rest of the players work hard enough and will fight hard to take away time and space from Crosby, Malkin and their mates.

The teams have each won two games this year, but it hasn’t really been close in those games. The Penguins won with 8-1 and 4-1, and the Senators came out with 6-2 and 4-1 in the most recent game which was played in January.

It will however be tough to take on the Penguins and their young stars. There is a great franchise in Pittsburgh that can be in the top of the NHL for many years from now on, thanks to great draft picks and good investments. The Penguins are ruling Stanley Cup champions and they can go all the way again. They are young, hungry and talented and would probably like to begin the series good and win against the Senators in front of their own fans. They are going to win this game with a couple of goals, according to me. 4-1 to the Penguins and Crosby and Malking will be behind most of it.
