The Calgary Flames are looking to beat the Predators and take over the Northwest Division lead. They are currently only one point behind the Colorado Avalanche, and a victory tonight would get them to be placed third in Western Conference. The game starts tonight at 9.00 PM in Pengrowth Saddledome, and you can watch the game online at gamecenter.nhl.com or espn360.com NHL live stream.

Nashville Predators have had a good season so far, and they have surprised a lot of people. They are especially good on the road, coming to the game with 4-1 in their last five games, but they have always had some big trouble against the Calgary Flames.

The Flames still have a good chance to reach the absolute top of Western Conference, but they haven’t been that good lately. Iginla haven’t scored in five games, and they have lost six of their last nine games at home. Their biggest problem is to convert on their scoring chances and put the puck in the net. The Flames were having a hard time scoring on the Colorado Avalanche when they were outshooting them whit 46-21, ending up losing in a shootout because of Craig Andersons brilliant play.

Pekka Rinne and Miikka Kiprusoff are probably the starting goalies for tonight, and that is an advantage for the Flames. Kiprusoff is a better goalie and Pekka Rinne has only been decent on a winning team. He has also been struggling against the Calgary Flames throughout his career, going 0-2-0 with a 4.83 goals-against average in his three starts. Calgary Flames are going into the game as favorites, but I think it’s going to be a close game with a lot of hard work. That is what it takes to win these games, and I think the Flames offense will lose it up and get some scoring going. Moneyline on Flames is a good bet, or play safe with Flames and a X.
