Jaroslav Halak is going to try to stop the leagues sharpest team with Ovechkin and Backstrom in the front. You can watch the battle on espn360.com or gamecenter.nhl.com NHL live stream.

The Capitals have been great this year, just as expected, and won the President Trophy with most points in the NHL after the regular season. The Capitals also scored 318 goals, which is more than hundred more goals than Canadiens did. On the other hand did the Capitals let in a lot of goals, mostly because of their goalie issues. Varlamov and Theodore weren’t that good during the season, and they have to step it up in the playoffs. But the Capitals have instead relied on their offense, and on the production of Ovechkin, Backstrom and Semin.

Jaroslav Halak took over the crease from Carey Price in the Montreal Canadiens, and it is now up to the Slovakian goalie to stop the offensive powers of the Washington Capitals. It has went well before, and the Canadiens actually won two out of four games against the Capitals this season, but the Capitals did nevertheless score 15 goals in those four games. In this series can we expect a lot of goals, since the Capitals very rarely score less than three goals and they leave a lot of space for counter attacks when they are thinking offensively.

As I said do I believe in a lot of goals, and I think the Capitals will go out and score a couple of fast goals in the first game. My guess is 5-3 to the Capitals and the entertaining game starts at 7:00 PM and is shown on gamecenter.nhl.com and espn360.com NHL live stream.
