The Red Wings have won three of the four recent games during the season and the 9-1-victory in the beginning of the season is the most impressive one. It has been closer after that, with a couple of one-goal-games. The Red Wings are now almost free from injuries and Johan Franzén really helped them to turn the ship around after he got rid of his injury.

The Red Wings just clinched their playoff spot and are satisfied with that for sure, but it will take a couple of more points to get a good draw in the playoffs. I suppose they would like to avoid teams like the Chicago Blackhawks, but then they have to play well and stay on sixth place. The Los Angeles Kings are right behind them and are dangerously close to pass them.

The Blue Jackets have been brutal this season and they are second last in the Western Conference, way ahead of the Edmonton oilers who have been by far the worst team in the NHL this season.
