The Philadelphia Flyers are red-hot right now, with six straight wins and two games where they have shut out the Canadiens and had 9-0 in goal difference. They bubble of self confidence and the hard work obviously pays off. The Canadiens are shaken but they have to win at home. The game starts tonight at 7:00 PM and can be viewed right on gamecenter.nhl.com or espn360.com NHL live stream.
The Flyers have surprised everyone in this year’s issue of the Stanley Cup playoffs. They did first beat the New Jersey Devils and after that did they turn around the series against the Boston Bruins and won with 4-3. Their mix of hard workers and performing goal scorers are working well and Michael Leighton has been fantastic in net. The team is going like the train and it seems now like they can go all the way to the finals if they can keep the lack of respect for other teams and if the players can continue working this hard against more skilled players. The San José Sharks and the Chicago Blackhawks, who the Flyers may play in a potential Stanley Cup final, have more skilled players, as known, than teams like the Montreal Canadiens or the Boston Bruins. The Canadiens have relied a lot on Jaroslav Halak during the playoffs. They have beat the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals in series where Halak has been playing great and despite shortage in the offense have they been able to win close games, thanks to good defense and a goalie who perform at his best each and every game. It seems now like the luck has left the Canadiens and Halak has not been as good as he just too lately. He even got pulled in two games. Is the self confidence bad now when they have started struggling or can Halak and his men raise and come back to the game they’ve had earlier in the playoffs? The Philadelphia Flyers have a huge advantage, but it doesn’t feel like the Montreal Canadiens will lay down and die at home ice and lose this series in a humiliating way. I think the Canadiens will pull themselves together and win this game. NHL live stream on gamecenter.nhl.com or espn360.com tonight at 7:00 PM in your computer. | 27
