They have also swept the Islanders two times the last five years and have now a chance to do it a third time tonight. The Islanders was earlier higher up in the Eastern Conference, but they have now descended pretty bad and are not far from the last place. They have only won two out of the last ten games and to put the puck in the net has been the biggest reason to the fall. The Islanders can match all the other teams and I don’t think they are that bad. But hockey is about scoring goals and you won’t go anywhere if you can’t score.

The Bolts are hot for the moment, but saw an end to their losing streak against the Boston Bruins on Saturday. They have seven wins in the last ten games anyway and players like Martin St. Louis and Steve Stamkos are very good, and have produced a lot of points together in the last eight games. The self-confidence is high and the game against the Bruins wasn’t actually a disappointment. They started off really bad, and were down 5-0, but the team’s morale and will to fight made the score 4-5. An effort like that affect the team’s mentality positive and I think the Islanders will have a hard time in Nassau Coliseum. The Bolts are going to get a lot of chances in Power Play and they have players who can score on the opportunities. Biron will have to work hard in the net for the Islanders tonight but he is not enough. I’m betting at the Lightning to good surprisingly good odds.
